Bedni Bugyal Trek

A scenic alpine-meadow journey through oak and rhododendron forests to the wide-open Ali and Bedni Bugyal landscapes.

THE JOURNEY

Bedni Bugyal Trek

The Ali–Bedni Bugyal route is one of Uttarakhand’s classic meadow treks. The official Uttarakhand Tourism itinerary describes a route from Rishikesh to Lohajung, then Didna, Ali Bugyal, Bedni Bugyal and the return via Ghairoli Patal and Wan.

Bedni Bugyal sits around 3,354–3,400 m and is known for expansive grasslands, Bedni Kund and views toward Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. The highest viewpoint on many itineraries is Bedni Top.

This trek avoids the extreme final ascent to Roopkund while retaining the forests, meadows and mountain panoramas that make the region special.
