Roopkund Trek

The classic route rises from Lohajung through the forest and alpine meadows before the high-altitude approach to Roopkund. Uttarakhand Tourism lists the Loharjung–Roopkund route as a strenuous adventure route reaching about 5,029 m.

The route is famous for Roopkund Lake and the human skeletal remains found around it. The journey also features the broad meadows of Ali Bugyal and Bedni Bugyal, Kalu Vinayak and Bhagwabasa.
